- High efficiency gas furnaces manufactured by Carrier Corporation and subsidiary companies Payne, Bryant and Day & Night have had problems, as have those by all manufacturers. Carrier was unfortunate enough to get sued in a class action: www.wafurnacesuit.com
- Cadet brand forced air electric wall heater have had a series of recalls. These heaters are most heavily concentrated in Washington and Oregon, and had a huge market share in the 80's and 90's in condos and apartments.
